New Rumor suggests Intel could be acquiring AMD
EETimes has just come out with a new statement saying that it heard from several C-level executives about the possibility of Intel acquiring AMD.

This would actually be kinda funny if it were even legal. AMD is after all an off shoot of Intel. It was started by people from Intel that wanted to go a different direction.

Intel’s net profit is more than all of the gross revenue AMD generates in a year. To battle the antitrust laws at a global scale for such a relatively small company makes no sense.

This will never happen! Not even sure if it would be legally possible, there should be some competitive legal issues regarding this.
Just imagine what would happen, only Intel would control pricing/technology sharing/everything. It would mean monopoly on one of the biggest markets and most progressive. It's not as easy as Cola buying Pepsi, it would be more like Apple buying Samsung, Huawei and following big companies (or the other way around since Samsung is larger, but Intel is closer to Apple from… See More
