I play games for different reasons, but I purchase them as a way to demonstrate everyone involved in the making of a game my thanks for a job well done. Programmers, artists, voice acting... all of that is not free, and sometimes (less often than we want) is a blind bet. The purchase of a game, for me, is a way of saying "yes, this is a good job, thank you" to all of them implyed in the development of the artwork a game is, and a way to show them my will for them to keep on making good art

Epic story and gameplay. The graphics DO NOT matter to me one bit. Can you say Half-Life? I re-downloaded the original just to experience it again. I also loved the Master Chief Collection on the Xbone and replayed it all on the OLD graphics for nostalgas sake. Those are my two biggest motivators. It kills me that more and more games are getting more multi-player driven and less epic storytelling driven.
