What motivates me to purchase a game is entirely on the type of games I want to play and depending on the circumstances if the game is either new, a sequel, or prequel. I purchase a game because I want to try out what is new or what makes this game different from the other game of similar genre.

Lately, price is a big factor for me. But also, I like games that offer something different than other games.

I think the gameplay and price. I do watch the trailer of the game before deciding to purchase it. If it looks awesome, I will tend to buy it.
