What motivates me, is when the game is actually something worth buying. Something I know is worth my money in term of gameplay, fun. Like The Witcher 2, I bought it because I liked the first Witcher game and so far it's a great purchase that I did.

A good story line intrigues me the most. Followed by game play. Games are more fun to me when I enjoy the actions I'm commanding my character to perform. The game has to run smooth too. Even though I love the visual effects in games, graphics aren't the more important as long as the game runs smoothly.

If a game is original made by developers (and publishers) who care about their communities, with creative art styles and a good story, I will definitely buy it.

The one thing that motivates me to purchase a game is the excitement of game play that will come with that purchase.

I'd purchase a game when the developers show how much they love their game as much as the gamer do. When the developers are passionate, the game will definitely be successful. When the gamers and developers are happy, the game will surely entertain everyone for many days and even months to come. Their passion and hardwork motivates me to purchase the game. Salute to all the passionate developers!

Currently, nostalgia is a big factor that determines what games I play since most of the games this generation leave me pretty unfulfilled. This then brings me to the next quality I look for, difficulty. The harder the game, the more satisfying moments to be had.
