The reviews from the community and the game rating. I also watch some of its videos on youtube. But sometimes, when I really like the game trailer, I immediately purchase it

I regularly game with the same friends, so my main motivator is whether it has multiplayer and if my friends are also interested in playing the game.

I also should mention Co-operative play is a huge determiner, I'm also like Levi, I tend to buy after the hype, and bug fixes. While I've Kickstarted a few games, for the promise of game-play those are mostly because I could play them with friends, etc.

A multitude of reasons. The only limit to the games I buy are my funds. I like to buy games that I think look fun, of course, but I also really am a "graphics" geek. I look for those games that will push my rig to the limits so I can justify increasing those limits!

My main motivator is if I think it will be fun. So, if I do get a game that I find boring, too easy, etc. I'll get buyers remorse and not recommend it. However if it's fun, difficult but not impossible, then I'll recommend it, buy it for friends etc.

I think for me the most important thing is the fans behind the game, because without the game whats the point?

Story if it's a SP game. If it's a MP game it would be if my friends will buy it.
