My greatest motivation to play a game is it's reputation, is it hard or easy?, long or short?, well written story?, addictive arcade?
GTribe is a great hub where I can find out those sorts of things!

I consider multiple things at once. Price as well as play style and also how many people I can play it with. Soloability is also important.

What motivates me to purchase MOST of the games that i have purchased would be the story. Then there are the typical multiplayer games like COD and whatnot.

More than reviews, more than graphics or gameplay and yes, even more than system requirments the number one motivation I have in deciding to by a game is.............do I have a really good pre-prepared excuse to give my wife as to why I'm buying another video game.
