id have to say Mostly Graphics, and what the game is , and if its on special or not, so price has a big impact, but in saying that i have pre ordered project cars, so if the game is worth it we will pay full price no questions asked, but not on crap like the latest ubisoft blunders, fix the game BEFORE its Released

There are a lot of motivations to why/when I purchase a game. Firstly the type of game plays a key factor as I love playing strategy games and RPGs. What also influences my choice to buy a game is my experience with prior titles by developer and also what kind of game I am wanting to play. A good example is my experience with The Witcher series which is the only game I am willing to preorder due to how much fun I have gotten out of it.

Quality and respect, both from the fans and the DEVELOPER/PUBLISHER.

Looking at you Activision/Ubisoft. (They don't respect us)

I usually only buy games that have good or interesting game play mechanics. It is good for a game to have a great story or look great, but without good game play mechanics it is just another story.

Immersion - The ability to transport myself into the story or the ability to make my own. I'll purchase a game for this. Whether or not I enjoy it is another kettle of fish entirely.

Depends on the game.
Story/Graphics/Online mode (if there is any).
I bought Skyrim because I liked their story/graphics combo (A fan of TES as well).
I bought Warcraft III because I wanted to play online DotA.
I bought Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2 because of the online mode.
I bought NFS : Underground, Most Wanted and Carbon because I was in need of speed (almost a pun there).
Right now, price plays quite a big factor there, if I believe that the game deserves it I will gladly pay (If my pc can handle… See More

it of course)
Thank you for the giveaway

A good game at the right price. If it's single-player, story is a big focus and depending on the type of game, re-playability is a bonus. If it's multiplayer, whether or not my friends are getting it is pretty important!
