The original Giana Sisters (the name spelled wrong as "The Great Gianna Sisters" in the original release in the game but not the box). However, the building blocks used to build the levels in The Great Gaina Sisters did resemble Super Mario Bros almost identically, so the game remained off the shelves. However, the developer released the game, themselves, to pirate BBSs and the game is out there, an legal to play without paying a dime. Since, they released other games in the series, still a side scrolling platformer, but looking nothing like any Nintendo game. But we see examples, such as Palworld, where Nintendo is still trying to claim game mechanics that existed before they starting making video games. Such as a "ball" which we all know Pong had, long before most video games.
