Hmm okay, free for personal use I get, I got the free for personal edition of workstation installed for a while now, free for educational use, okay, maybe makes sense, it's the free for Comercial use I don't get.
Oh well, as long as the company don't go under because of that move, shouldn't really matter to the end user, except for the people who paid for a program now offered free, they might be feeling cheated.

Free, but without support.
I don't know enough to say, but could that bit maybe be impactful for some.
Though a surprising move anyway.
