Mecha Break launched yesterday and... not so favorable result, but it ain't for gameplay.

Basically I noticed that there was an immediate talk among a fan mech group that enjoyed it enough back in beta, but did not like where the game was going in multiple fronts.
When I played, I was interested, but worried how they could monetize the game if it would be F2P as claimed and I was not expecting the info to be piling in that from the very beginning,… See More
you have Microtransactions. $47.99 for one of the pilots and mech to get combined and that isn't even talking about the cosmetics. Apparently they stripped down cosmetics to a few things and put it at $5 for everything. $5 for sets of eyelashes O_O
I would still try to get in on it, but then I'm hearing as well that they put in an anti-cheat that wasn't there back in the beta and it can't work on linux or steam deck now which begs the question if the anti-cheat is kernel-based or not.
Personally, I almost want the game to succeed, but in general this doesn't bode well.
Real life happens.
Worry about that first, and I hope it remains minor.
