At its core BEAM is a next-generation live streaming platform that will combine some of the best features of Twitch with some of the best features of Discord.

The BEAM engine was developed by the same software engineering team that developed both Beacon MAX® and GTribe®.

- A Beacon call can be turned into BEAM stream, designed for live interview/podcast usage. Podcast author also benefits from the powerful player - the recorded video playback is also responsive across devices;
- BEAM uses Beacon's responsive player, based on a viewer's device's screen size and orientation, a different video placement is used (e.g., on mobile gameplay and commentary videos are stacked, on desktop they are side-by-side);
- we will support Beacon's off-device webcam functionality through Beacon's mobile app - the person can use their smartphone as their Full HD/4K video camera by streaming video/audio from it, independent of the screen capture video feed;
- if a group of friends is streaming the same game/match/event, they are grouped together with an easy (and seamless) switch between "cameras"
