I would like to have my own Defiant computer. Looks awesome. I think if I had my own I would just sit there and stare at it and not turn it on.

My current computer (i7 5930k, 6 core 12 thread CPU, 64 GB of RAM, two GTX 980 cards with 4 GB video ram each) is moving on to a good home once I get my new system.
My wife and I mentor a High School FIRST Robotics Team (the same one I was a part when I was a student in the mid 90's)
The team relies on donations and fundraising to fill our technology and competition season needs.
My original computer will be donated as a new CAD station for the team to design the future on.
I am a bit of a jack of… See More
all trades with the students. I know enough mechanical engineering and design to be dangerous, and more than enough electrical engineering to get things accomplished.
Where I really shine is teaching these students a pair of key life skills. How to present to an audience (public speaking) and how to solve problems with outside the box thinking. I don't give them the answers, I help them find the path that will get them to the answer they need, and help them discover that sometimes getting from Point A to Point B involves working through Points C, D, L, Q and Z to get there.
These young men and women become like family to us over time, and I keep in touch with most of them as they go off to college or directly to the workforce, still offering guidance and support after they graduate from the program.
Sorry for the long winded post, had surgery a few weeks ago, and insomnia is an unfortunate complication from the healing process.
I encourage everyone to give back and support the next generation of free thinkers, leaders, and change makers.
