One of the reasons I like Amazon Prime is the free two day shipping. In the world of shipping the longer the shipper has your package, the more likely it will get damaged, get lost or disappear into infinity and beyond. Worse is the "special" UPS/FedEx/DHL postal service. From the NYC to my place is about 8 days by this special postal service, versa 5-6 days by USPS parcel retail ground. So why the extra time? Which means if you order the same two item from the same place. Both of your packages could end up on the same truck, but the USPS package will go directly to the Postal Distribution Center, rather than take the detour to the UPS/FedEx/DHL Distribution Center and then to the Postal one. Go figure.
