The 120mm rear fan on my case has been making a bit of noise. So I am replacing it with a Noctua NF-S12A www.quietpc.com/nf-s12a-pwm
Brown may not be the prettiest of colors, but I really want less fan noise coming from my computer and Noctua fans seem to be well reviewed in terms of being low noise.
If I like it, then I will eventually replace my 3 140mm fans.

I went with Noctua for the Noise-Performance ratio. They push a lot of air at low noise
I believe the NF-S12A is for a Radiator and not a case.
The Case fans makes less noise than the Static fans. I use both types in my build. I find the type of noise is closer to if it would be windy outside and you'd have the window open (at max speed).

There are slightly cheaper, totally black noctua fan series.
But Noctua is the Rolls Royce of fans: cannot be mistaken there.

Personally i'd consider fans from NoiseBlocker I think.
At least until Noctua come out with white fans.
