A few days ago, community member, Erwin Klein Haneveld, succumbed to leukemia and left his body to engage on a final trip to infinity and beyond.

Known as The Awesome One, Erwin became famous for his hardware & software donations to GTribers across the globe, and his passion for the GTribe social network.

His final request was that the GTribe logo be prominently painted on his coffin, a request that was passed on to us by family and friends and that we sadly, but instantly, granted. The family… See More

hired an artist in The Netherlands to perfectly depict the GTribe logo.

Sitting on his coffin is a photo of him wearing a black T-shirt with the symbols 2 ∞ & → these symbols were introduced by GTribe founder, Angel Munoz, as a play on Buzz Lightyear’s catchphrase: To Infinity and Beyond.

From what I remember, Erwin was the first on GTribe to initiate the #payitforward movement by giving away tech he had to those in need of upgrades. He was and always will be #TheAwesomeOne. Sad to see him go but he will surely be remembered.
