I have a capable, relatively new Intel processor. I don't have any plans to upgrade for several years at minimum. That being said, when I DO upgrade, I do research.
I think AMD has always been better than Intel. My buddy is one of the heads of IT for Kaplan University and he taught me everything I know. One of the first things was AMD is better than the Intel Pentium (back then) processors. Unless you like your computer to lock up all the time...lol!
Early benchmark leaks I've seen show is gonna be very competitive, of not better performance, much higher priced Intel equivalents.

I believe that ryzen is the game changer..amd hss been left behind by intel but i believe ryzen will change all that..
