If I see a great deal on a game I'm interested in, or after seeing gameplay, and thinking it would be fun is what really gets me to purchase a game.

To be honest it's a strong mixture of Gameplay, Optimization and Story. Mortal Combat X will certainly forfill those requirements!

The gameplay. I usually read the reviews on Steam and that influences my decisions the most. If a game has what I am looking for, then I will buy it. If it is $20+, then rather wait for some sales
