If a game is story-based, I buy for the story. If a game is party-based, I buy for the enjoyment I'll have with friends and family. Overall though, I buy games for the experience they give me.

I buy the games not only for liking the game very much but really for 3 main things that for me are important, story, graphics and to do every achievement of the game
I don't buy very often, only when that game is mindblowing for me

The reason I buy games is because I absolutely love them, really see that is worthy for the gameplay videos, graphics, features, sequels from previous games I may have played that I absolutely loved and the current price of that specific game that it is at that moment.
If it's too expensive I let it drop and then I'll buy. I only pre-order a game if I'm really going to play that game instantly, otherwise I don't That's my honest statement about buying games.
Thank you for the opportunity

The genre of game and story line are the most important to me. The story needs to be interesting and in depth for me to purchase a game/s. Second is multiplayer and if my friends will play it along with me. Then I can think of game play and price of the certain game/s.

It all depends on the genre. UNIQUE GAMEPLAY is foremost. The game has to offer something that isn't available in other games in my library. Positive user reviews go along way, but I always do a cost/benefit analysis of any game I purchase: will I get $X worth of enjoyment out of this game before it goes on sale for 1/2 $X or less? For multiplayer games, I like the ones I can play with my friends the best, but that's not a deal-breaker if they aren't interested.
