What motivate me to purchase a game is a deal discounts and the game itself. Especially when Summer deal is going, and the deal goes somewhat crazy. Besides, On Steam, if it's a cheap game, Steam Trading Card is a must.

Well.. i was going to say a random thing until i read the serious part, but anyway. I purchase games to experience a new imaginative world. That's not my favorite thing about them though. I love to play games to get away from the reality of this world...

A well-made progression system typically hooks me into buying a game, and if my friends are playing it.

If it looks like something I could spend hours playing, I buy it.

The main reason I by a game is because I like it's trailer. Other than that the story and gameplay should be good

I'll go & read some review's but what i like the most are the trailer's. It has to have good visiuals, multyplayer & just the right genre.

What motivate me to purchase a game? A LOT of things...
1- game's type
2- game's background / story
3- game's graphic
4- i usually lurk on the net to find as much info as i can about the game
5- if the game is an mmo (rpg, fps, or moba) i try to get into the beta, to see how it is in first person
6- After the release i'll go watch / read some review to see if the game is actually good, or if it's a big mass of bugs in the form of a game
