Yes this is a way to get more active people, but I still can't agree with it being necessary to post and have friends here. Like others have said, some come here to read articles and don't necessarily want to have to go through this verification. Please do reconsider.

Not a fan of the requirements to getting verified. My profile photo has always been the same everywhere and it's never a real photo of myself. My PC photo is fairly accurate though. I'm not a social butterfly either. I don't have any friends on here to add. So I should just start adding random names then? And like some others have said, I'm here to read articles, not post. I don't even update my Facebook or Twitter status on a daily or weekly basis. Kind of annoying.
