Today I started compiling two lists. One consists of foods with an indefinite shelf life—needed to restock the pantry for prolonged emergencies. The second lists non-lethal weapons capable of stopping attackers at long, close, and ultra-close (hand-to-hand) ranges.
I also need to resume work on strengthening perimeter security and alert systems.
Maybe I need a Faraday cage too. But the doors have to stay closed!

you can buy survival food packs. You could also learn to can with mason jars, dehydrate and vacum seal. Non lethal weapons will get you hurt if its a riot, they just people off. You might want to make a bugout bag. Depending on the EMP you are expecting, Solar is not the same as a nuke. The EMP from a nuke will fry all electronics if they are plugged in or not. Solar flares hurt large grids and cause surges so a heavy duty surge protector is needed.

I am buying some tinned products because they get reduced to half price when they get dented, or damaged in a way that affects how they look.
