That didn't take long. You can now remove and block and the Windows 11 GDID completely. It just keeps you from logging into Microsoft services though on the comp itself. So if you don't want it and don't use say Microsoft Office there is a way now But yeah use at your own discretion lol.

Personally, I feel the meaning of it is going to be exaggerated for the vast majority of people, as the media likes to do.
There are a number of ways to track someone, many of which have little to nothing to do with Microsoft or Windows.
This was just a tool used to track someone otherwise very determined to cover their tracks for the wrong reasons.
