ood morning folks. Still deaf in one ear after stupidly pushing wax further in with a cotton bud. I can still equalise (meaning I can still dive on holiday) but as a gamer, it's really messing with how I play. With that and my sore thumb, I'm feeling a bit low at the moment. I've been using ear drops with bicarbonate in them to soften and dissolve the wax, but it's taking time.

When I had issue with mine, I had to have syringed "syringed" by way of an implement using a jet of water. That was done properly, by a doctor.
I had to soften it in advance, though use of a dropper containing medical grade Olive Oil which I had to do for something like a week before.

Though in my case it was something that just happened, not because I tried to intervene.
Sometimes the inside of my ear can get itchy, in which case I will use something I can insert into it to scratch the itch, but I… See More

am careful and not going far in.
I have not used cotton buds (cotton swabs or Q-Tips) for quite some time.
