Had this happen to one of my test benches. Had a power cut, turned PC back on, Windows updated itself and enabled BitLocker.. Had to log into my Microsoft account and find a code for it, which I never set up.

Wasn't that bad, but it was extremely annoying, especially as I have never used BitLocker.

Yep, it did.
And a big part of why I say that Bitlocker must explicitly be opt-in, not on by default.
