I wouldn't have a whole quail again. Too much hassle to get the meat off. I'd also change the recipe for the potatoes to more suit my taste. Less stock for one! Still, I tried.

You never know if you don't try.
Certainly a lot of foods are way too fussy to be worth the effort or cost IMO.
