I have done a little bit of organisation of my library. I have a few sections in mine.
Favourites - Pinned games, ones I will go back to regularly, a small number and stays pretty consistent until maybe I complete a game. Recent games - games recently played, and recently added to library.
All Games - two sections, first one sorted by date added to library, so am reminded of games added to library recently. Second just alphabetical, really just a visual version of what I have on the side.
list of titles at the side, with Favourites, Available (installed) and Uncategorised (in library, but not installed).
Custom images are an option in an interface to be used by someone else, or at least seen. But living on my own, and only me using and seeing it, have not felt a need for that. Same with Steam profile really, where I have done little to customise that.
