I am happy to say that The Naked Gun movie is a lot of nonsense and as silly as hell. It's just what we needed, and while some of it was very cringeworthy, we had a big laugh watching it! Some of the gags were pretty ingenious too. The double gun gag was my favourite.  
Turn off your brain (but keep on the part that spots easter eggs!) and enjoy the mayhem!
