I had to call in help of a grievance counselor, yesterday had my first talk with him.
My life is pretty much on pause now for 8 weeks already, awake 21-24 hours per day.
I also started with meds, I talked with the doc about temporary using temazopam, but the side effects are worse then the end-goal so I called the doc's office yesterday to say that I'm not taking it anymore. So let's just hope that with counseling I can get my life back on track.

of my parents, the money I had to loan for the funeral.... I'm about 6 grand in the hole... it's going to take a long time to get out of it but I will pay every dime no matter how long it takes.
Lost both of my parents within 3 months of each other. First my Dad, then my Mom. Fortunately, many decades ago, they had purchased a plot that included funeral services, interment and burial. They both wanted to be cremated, so that made it easier on my sister to take them to Indiana. Me, two trips to Oregon from California, first for my Dad and then for my Mom. I spent an additional 2 months, cleaning up, packing up, giving away furniture, in their apartment, before returning home.

but like you, I reached out to a grief counselor, my Pastor and my friends. I think the grief counselor helped the most, being a "stranger", having a more open mind and defining what I felt the most depressed about. I refused the medication offer, I found them to be worse then the depression. Stay strong, stay the course, I will continue to pray for you and your family! If you need to talk to me, just PM me.
