Anyone know of any decent ISP's for U.S. rural areas that aren't satellite or WISP? 500+ ping in-game is unacceptable. Was actually 994 a minute ago. Elon Musk needs to hurry the hell up!!

unfortunately in the US our choices for ISP are limited as the powers that be felt that choice is wrong.
in most places you get a choice between one broadband and one dsl provider.
and usually the further out you are the worse the service is because the providers cant be bothered.
the user is screwed no matter what they do.
i live in rural north carolina....my choices were century link dsl or mediacom.
both are horrible though mediacom is really fast..when it works.
i moved 17 miles and then had spectrum… See More
and centurylink.
spectrum isnt as fast but it is more reliable.
so ya....until starlink is rolled out rural america ISP choice is a horrible hit or miss.
and starlink is sending up satellites on a regular basis but it is a long process
and on top of that they are a long way from having enough user end terminals in stock for the proposed demand.

Have you signed up for the starlink beta? www.starlink.com
Obviously that does not help you now, but can't hurt to get on the list!
