In late January I posted that my friend Brent Angie - XFX Vice President of Sales, had exchanged my XFX Radeon 5700 XT GPU with the newest THICC II Pro version.
I'm aware that many of our members are curious to know how the thermal upgrades are working on this newest GPU, and I'm pleased to report that after a month of use I'm still to hear the fans of the new GPU in any perceptible manner. On the older GPU, the fans could get quite loud trying to cool down the thermally sensitive heatsink. But on the newest THICC II Pro version the fans are almost liquid-cooled silent, even under performance stressed conditions.
I also like the retro look of the GPU very much. The chrome grill is reminiscent of a 1950's American muscle car, and looks amazing in a gaming PC. It's a massive GPU though, so you need space for it. Mini PC lovers need not apply. Performance wise it's a beast, blasting pixels at my 1440P monitor at a lightspeed pace without stutter or hesitation.
XFX is our longest uninterrupted sponsor, from back in the days when we did our promotions under our parent's corporate name: Mass Luminosity. We officially partnered with XFX in August 2013. See the original Facebook press release at facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=6056322194…
In all of those years, no other company has been as committed to supporting our global community and principles. They are very responsive to the needs of our community and even have a dedicated person to answer product questions from our members, Mark Regimbal.
Therefore, it's extra pleasant for me when I can wholeheartedly recommend one of their products to our members. Something I have done only twice in 7 years (including this post).
The XFX 5700 XT THICC II Pro gets my highest recommendation!

XFX was my first high end graphics card and even though it crapped out they replaced it with no real issues.

I've always used XFX for my GPU they are affordable and always seem to be durable. That being said heeeeey angel does XFX have any over stock or old inventory they are looking to sell at a discounted rate.. angellllllllllll. Lol would be nice to snag a. Couple r9 4xx or 5xxor and rx4xx 5xx a fat boy or the 6xx that didn't last long b4 the 5700 jump. If they got anything they want to clear the store room of i wouldn't mind either upgrading my 2ndary pc or possibly dropping a 2ndary card… See More
in main or 2ndary depending on what they got if any to get rid of.

I am currently running this gpu on my current build and most likely not running it max capacity.
It's been a few days testing this gpu and so far no issues.
I have a 7th gen i5 cpu with a 500w psu even though it suggests using a 600w one.
My current tower (Xidax X-2 Outlaw) isn't a very big tower and I had to angle the gpu just right to fit it in and even had to move my NIC card up 1 slot as this gpu takes up like 2.5-2.7 slot space.
I am playing nearly every game in high/ultra settings all the while… See More

I know I will be needing to build a new pc to go with this beast of a gpu and time is on my side before I can truly enjoy this amazing item!
Gotta thank Angel , XFX, Radeon, and most definitely GTribe for the privilege in winning and owning it!

Wish I had the money to drop in a nice water-cooling RGB set the lights to play to the music

Great review. Can I ask what the other two items were? This one is on my list to research more.
Size isn't a problem. I have an Enthoo Pro case so whatever I buy fits... I really need a portable setup too so I added wheels
