The crystalline life forms on Valara III were, for the most part, right in describing us as "ugly bags consisting predominantly of water"; however, they omitted a key descriptor — "chemical." The chemical imbalance theory, although widely debated today, suggests that depression may be caused by an imbalance of neurotransmitters. However, based on my own experience, I have found that a minor adjustment to my chemical balance can significantly improve my mood.
