This is ridiculous. One would think that an expensive card like that would have a decent load/current balancing. A company like Nvidia surely has engineers who knows electricity does it?

They did have it, on the last generation that used the same connector/cable.
They just didn't, and still aren't on this one.
Given their focus on AI, gaming products don't get all that much attention now, and certainly are low priority for fixing things.
Look at all the driver issues for example.
