I have been trying to be extra thriftly lately and cut down on expenses. In order to justify subscribing to Beacon MAX MAX, I decided I should see if I can cut out an expense elsewhere.
I started thinking about my Adobe Photoshop subscription. I use Photoshop almost every day and I have been paying $9.99 a month since mid 2014. That means I have given Adobe nearly $1000!!
I decided I am going to switch to GIMP which is free and cancel my Adobe subscription.
I should have done this ages ago! I'll… See More

be sure to give GIMP an annual donation so they can keep providing a great alternative to Photoshop.

I've cut out most services that require monthly payments besides utilities, MS Office, and YouTube Music. I was being nickeled and dimed to death!   Over $200 in monthly services.   No more streaming channels, no more TV, just internet. Plenty on there as it is and I'll probably do away with Office soon.   I'll just play games that don't require monthly memberships and go outside a lot. Spring is almost here!

That's why I stopped using it and began using other things. I bought ACDSee and use that instead. May not be free, but it was a one-off payment and not too expensive. Of course, you'll get the yearly update emails telling you how much better the newer version is.

You could always buy Photoshop Elements for a low 1-time cost.
