Only played H1Z1 so can't truly compare. However watching streams is more fun with H1Z1 for me personally, because it takes less time before something happens.
PlayerUnkown's Battlegrounds awsome gameplay u will love it promis . i own the game i jst won a copy from giveaway from ippaku, i love d game even i play at lowest settings, i alwys quit and i say i gonna stop playng PUBG bcoz RIG problem and so laggy but stil comng back to play it. prefer PUBG

I tried H1Z1 at a mates and thought it was okay but I was deep into RUST in the time.
