It more than depends on what one can afford like this computer I put together form scratch with all my parts obtained by dumpster diving and what people have given away on Craigslist I can't afford anything being on SSi and disabled and I have entered so many contest that it is not funny anymore living here in New York is hard with no money so I just settle for what I can get like this computer that I put together it is an Asus z97-a /usb 3 with I-5 4690k, cm storm case and r9-fury x gpu and power… See More
supply and ddr 3 16 gig of ram. I know that this is old but hey it is better than nothing. So that is my sad story, I would love a new computer but I can never afford one so it will always be a dream that will never happen.
kinda depends on budget - if you can afford to build your dream rig, then build it - if you can't due to cash limits and are happy to settle for what will 'do for you', then bundle
well.....pre-builds right now will have a much higher chance of having a current/last gen GPU whereas a do-it-yourself custom there is no guarantee currenlty you would even be able to get a GPU to complete a build

Custom as you can swap in and out what most important to you.

Premade, though there are good and bad premades. Avoid Dell for example.
GPU shortage imo makes advising DIY hard.

Already told a friend to wait when they asked me last week. Even pre-builds are overpriced for the most part.

Right now I recommend them to wait a few years so GPU prices fall
