So for the first time in a LONG time I will be able to get some serious upgrades on certain things. One will be a real HDR camera (The new Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6k) along with an proper HDR monitor for pro work. If I can squeeze it, it will be coming with a whole new system. With an AMD Ryzen 9 3950x. This will be for video editing, compositing, and whatever creative work comes my way.

970 1TB NVME Evos with this system for fast editing scrubbing. I plan on keeping my EVGA FTW2 GTX 1070 for now, and turning my current comp into a NAS/Render machine if I can so if I need to keep editing on the main if I need to on another project.

I'd actually hang on and see what the new threadripper looks like. Both pricing and spec wise. It may not be worth the price difference but you may be pleasantly surprised as well.
