This week's The Crew 2 special is The Big Apple. It has many mixes actually. As you can see, I already had an early start. The parts I didn't do were vehicles I didn't have (yet). So with the special discount, you get only 2 cars which seems a little weak, but given that Touring Cars are more expensive, you're getting a big discount on 1 of the 2 alone.
Tips to know:
Street Race in Financial District South is gonna be pretty slidy as its a snow-based race. There is few straights to use so… See More
you either should try for a mid-weight class vehicle, a bike, or something that can truly dig-in when powering off. That is going to be the toughest I can see.
Speed Trap has a long straight which is useful for the Drag car, but unfortunately, the NPC cars may be in your way more often here so be on the lookout. You may want to use Nitro after you "hop" down in the mid-drive or your power will be wasted on the approach. That score is based on 351 MPH. Obviously, if you have full set of Nitro Chemist with pure Nitro power and at max level, you could break it. Get a buddy and you might be able to do the Draft setup, but that is pushy to try.
Aerobatics Skill can as usual be done with an Air Race plane. Be aware though that speed, while useful, is going to be very challenging this time around as its not only fly through the rings check point, but also in an area where if you fly fast, you will have a very short window to adjust after each checkpoint. Try your best to utilize the extreme mode turns to quickly adjust and float in towards the other checkpoints.
Slalom is a city-based slalom run and as such, you will have tight areas. I cannot figure the best way to do that in a vehicle due to the multi-terrain routes that you'll deal with. If you use a TC, expect to have some trouble on the start area, but as long as you can maintain grip and have tight turn-capabilities, you should be able to maneuver the remaining fairly well. A (Alpha GP) cars is gonna have hard time with the bumps at the beginning and getting on the grass will mean you're probably gonna lose control fairly quick so that may not work as well as you'd think. HC types might be the best here if its Agile as those cars like a mid-level speed so it could help you keep your average speed high to let you get through the course easier. While that could mean SR types would be more than likely ideal, don't count on it as you will need to be fully spec'd and it is not guarenteed at all on anything outside of agile. The few super agile cars would be the more expensive ones, including the F40 that you get for the special discount bundle price. And that leaves any of the off roads which is gonna make you clumsy in the later parts and slow all around.
Power Boat race and Air Race are both fairly simple.
I suppose this is as good a time as any. If you won the special loot on the previous event, the tip is to NEVER mess with the Affix on those event loots. Reason is that the Event Loots will give you above normal bonuses which is impossible except for an event and are the only ones flagged to not trigger an issue of cheating because of being specially marked. Speaking of Event Loots, the premium prize could be interesting for those looking at needing higher scores as its a Score Breaker set. With that said...
Good Luck out there!
