I was on the fence to buy this game, but I thought it's worth the risk for $10, giving the amount of praise it received. The game is visually stunning, and the combat is responsive and fluid, albeit really shallow, but that's where all the positives end. The camera during combat is terrible, and the inability to switch targets or move freely was really annoying. I found the acting over the top and cringy, which killed the narrative for me.
They were some good moments in the game (the Blindness Shard… See More
trial unnerved me), and they nailed the atmosphere, but I expected much more after reading all the positive reviews.
I found the acting spot on, considering what mental anguish the character is suffering. The combat is definitely the weakest point for me, but it was the overall experience (with headphones) that made it memorable.
