I saw a video from Buildzoid (Gamers Nexus) while he did his overview on 1 of the GIGABYTE X570 mobo's, the AORUS Elite. Appearently Gigabyte hasnt cheaped out on the VRM's on this mobo while it's 1 of the more budgetfriendly mobo's.
The overall quality seems to be quite good of the X570 line up, although they will be quite pricey.
My guess is still that a good X470 mobo would do just fine for the 3000 series, although missing out on PCI-E gen 4, but I think that wont be much of an issue untill… See More
they unleash all the power in extremely fast SSD's utilizing PCI-E gen4 mixed with 1 of the Navi's.
I think that part will be a long way away for the mid range gamers which are plenty
Let's see if there will be a shortage on X470 mobo's.. it might happen!
For me it's still a while away first licking my wounds, fixing up a lot in adminstration.. after that the slow buildup to a new platform so that's months away instead of weeks but that's alright by then we know what the 3000 series Ryzen²'s are really like
2019 will be an exciting year for PCMR.
Personally I am not sure about what will come with Navi on Gen 4.
A 2080ti isn't using much more than Gen 3 x8, and that is performing well above either of the Navi cards announced.
If it does indeed have Gen 4 bandwidth, then it certainly isn't using it in a gaming workload or AMD would have been very keen to show that off.

I watched the same video this morning. Lacks some debug LED-s or something like that and no dual bios. But a decent 6-phase doubled VRM, and an efficient one on top of that.
