Hmm... so yea I was considering moving towards the new Ryzen 3000 series..
Heared something that I dont like.
The B550 mobo's probably wont be released untill Q1 2020!
The B550 mobo's will NOT have PCI-E 4.0 support
The X570 mobo's will most likely be at least $100 more expensive then their previous X470 family.
So I'm really considering to adopt my plans and go for the Ryzen 5 2600, it's very affordable, I can get away with 3000 RAM which saves another few tenners compared to the 3200 RAM and the B450… See More
mobo's are affordable.
Actually what makes the 500 series good.. wont come to the B550 mobo's
So for roughly 280 euro's I can get myself a nice upgradekit and the Ryzen 5 2600 is better all across the board compared to my current ancient Skylake 4C/4T CPU.
Decent X470 boards will support the strongest Ryzen 3000 while being better than most B550 boards. The X570 boards will be expensive. :S

Given the intent for the b boards to be budget, I can't say that is surprising, even if not the result I hoped for. Gen 4 alone isn't enough for me to make the jump to that. At least not yet, not enough need for the storage speed alone.
Going to do similar, using the x370 board with 2600 or depending on price 2700.
