Been a good day! Went on a nice walk and finished mowing the grass too, and the temp was great outside! Unfortunately I had to buy a new lawn mower because our old one seems to have broken while my wife was using it. The bolt that holds the blade on broke which seems like a simple fix but it also sounds like something may have happened to the engine as well, it sounds like it is out of time now and idles lower... Ill look into that later .... We kinda needed a new one anyway.
I just saw this article… See More
about another x86 (primarily Intel?) CPU flaw, very interesting.... There may be a better article or information out there but this is the first one I saw.

I would love to get the new RAGE2 but the new lawn mower expense kinda put a hold on that . I think the wife and I will play some co op BroForce now! Night all!
Another nasty from Intel? I had seen a couple headlines recently but thought it was still talking about the old stuff so didn't click.
Bought a fiskars push reel mower about 3 years ago - Love it! But.... we only live on 1/4 acre, so not a ton to mow. Wouldn't be practical if there was much more land. No noise and stink from it! We still have the old gas powered for mulching down those fall leaves, but the squirrels keep eating through the gas tank on it for some reason.

Many of the Intel issues come from Hyperthreading.
Saw one suggestion that new Intel CPUs may drop hyperthreading completely, making them much like the 8700k, 8c8t.
Could potentially hand AMD a huge multi-threaded advantage.
