So here is a slightly technical question...
How do you feel about running your PC on a static IP with your router set up with a DMZ.
In the past I have had issues with Nat types not being open enough on a console, and I find more and more on PC that I run into network issues.
When I was playing destiny 1 on PS4 I changed all my PS4 settings to static IP and setup a DMZ for my PS4, and never had a disconnection issue unless the server went down.
Could I accomplish the same thing on my PC with destiny… See More

What's you opinions on this? Pros and cons?
Ty for the responses. I asked this because I am continually having issues with Comcast cutting my download speeds back way below what I pay for, and no matter how much I blast them on social media they won't fix anything.
And I have been building this PC piece by piece for 8 years and never, not for even 1 day have I had a virus scanner or a firewall active on my PC.
I have never had a single issue, and I am the only person that has ever been on my PC. If I download anything I verified every certificate… See More

I feel with the issues I have with connection and my own security protocal I take it may be worth it .

I do agree with Ivan to a point on this, putting a PC in the DMZ is a HUGE security risk and really shouldn't be necessary. It really depends on your router and how it handles NAT and uPNP. I've never had an issue with Destiny2 disconnecting on me and all I'm doing is running a static IP privately. The option of port forwarding for the ports D2 needs to run on is usually the best bet. You can get away with a PS4 in the DMZ cause it isn't running Windows so the ports attackers usually… See More
look for aren't there cause it doesn't use them. If all you're doing with that PC is gaming then you might be ok but I still would try the port forwarding route first. Here's a link for how to set it up for various models of router depending on what ports you're trying to forward. www.portforward.com . Not sure if the battle.net ports are on there but a quick google search should be enough to figure them out if they aren't listed.

One of my voices tells me it's a security risk, a huge one (leaving all ports open like that), but that it might work.
The other voice suggests something like opening ports the game needs, turning UPnP off (or testing on vs off) and telling the router to assign a static IP to the PC.
The third yells at those two of even thinking about opening ports, this one is a security freak who wants me to have my router firewall set to High.
And for myself, I have to bash my head against the wall to stop hearing… See More
