Ok, tore the GPU apart.
Changed thermal paste ofcourse since that got comprimised by removing the pump.
Didnt see much exciting stuff.
Put it back together, rotated the rad 90 degrees for a better looking situation.
I did put both the fan thats blowing on the MOSFETS and the pump on a splitter cable on the systemfan3/PMP header, on full speed ofcourse.
Turned system back on and it's idling now between around 33° C, no more running up temps. So what happened? no clue.. what's the cause? again no clue..… See More
how did I solve it? again.. NO clue.
But still this spooked me so I'm going to carefully plan for a new GPU ... around the end of MAY 2019, no earth shattering GPU's just in the neigborhood of a RX580/GTX 1060 or what's available then because the new series GPU's will be mainstream then.
