So... I'm working on a new system filled with generic components specially the power supply. Owner said something pop'ed. Now I know what that is. But is that really what capacitors look like on the inside?

I won't even waste time repairing that free generic power supply. I really dont think its worth it. Haha

Yup. Electrolytic capacitors are two conductive surfaces separated by an electrolyte, rolled up into a cylinder to save space.

Should be a easy fix . replace the caps thats swollen or exploded
