So, I was reading this article and I thought, "Um, if the rockets weighed that much and fuel and etc., wouldn't the gravity be enough to stop the ability for an advanced race to rise and flourish?" Seriously, if a super giant planet had enough gravity for mountainous terrain to be lowered then all life would be squashy little blobs of flesh. Not necessarily. Life, as we define it, is limited to what we perceive. Life on such a planet would evolve to survive and flourish in the high gravity. For all we know, they could be studying our world wondering how we can function in such relatively low gravity. It's fascinating.
