Hello everyone and good morning. Looks like a SpaceX heavy launch today I am going to have to check that out!!
I just noticed this morning that (finally) a new BIOS update for the Ryzen on my MSI x370 Gaming Pro AC board. The last official was v2.5. I ran beta BIOS v2.55 and this one jumped way up to v2.8(official). It also updates RAM compatibility and CPU AGESA Code 1.1.0.1.

this for what seems like ages lol. I had even tinkered with trying some beta BIOS with little luck on my RAM config. beyond 2933MHZ. Sometimes I could get 3066 but was not totally stable. Performance was awesome (at 2933) but I did want to see my modules rated frequency used on my rig!
I was worried with the PNY kit I chose to save a few bucks, and because its using KLEVV chips I would be near last for getting solid support in updates but it looks like this BIOS update did the trick. I booted right into the XMP profile #2 preconfig settings and 3200MHZ finally. I am running it now and no issues so far all morning. I do find it interesting that even with Auto across the board set in BIOS, the tRC kicked back to 74. I had been trying 66 and 68 on previous versions. The SPD reads a 54 at 3200Mhz. I am going to run this profile for a while and test it out in day to day use before I even try to tweak any timings or anything else.
Good day to all!
Off to check for my board... been waiting for the update. They had hinted at it for December early January for all X370s.
