I need more immersion in games. Even with the issues, ME:Andromeda was pretty fantastic, if you PLAYED it, instead of listening to all the people complaining. Good game, good game play. I mean, when Half-Game 2....errr...***half-life 2. Came out, collision was basically non-existent in the game for the first few weeks. It was SO bad, and making weapons shiny? Doesn't mean the graphics are better. Doom was hands down 10x better at the time, gameplay wise and graphically. But all the MP folks fell… See More
in love with "Shiny" instead of quality. HL:2 was good, it really was, after a couple months of patches, sure. But that's a couple months of patches. The story was okay, the gameplay was okay. But the game itself was so broken, I, to this day, call it "Half-Game 2" I still can't look at it without shaking my head. The AI was reprehensible, bodies didn't just not stack, they fell through the floor. Not sometimes, more than half the time (Half, yep) but ME: A got butchered by a bunch of Youtube folks, and forums, and it's anathema. When it was STILL better at launch than Half-Game 2. So what happened? Shift focus to MP, instead of the quality game that it was. Tsk tsk. We're PC gamers, we want the ability to play multiplayer, sure. But we want GOOD, immersive, single player games or true Co-Op as a focus. If I want MP fun, I'll dig up one of the hundreds of MMORPGS, or MMOS. Heck, release them separately for that matter. 2/3 pricing for good, quality single player, and 1/3 pricing for MP of the same game. That way we all come out looking good, and the developers can still make a boatload. /rant off.
