What is switch actuation? That is the time it takes from the start of a key press until it closes the circuit. Faster actuation means the faster your play. That means the faster you WIN!

I find all the engineering around the sheer variety of keyboard, and mouse button, switching mechanics is fascinating... dome, Cherry's, Romer-G ( ), Topre, scissor, SKCL, buckling spring... and then you get into exotic systems like optical gate switches (because keyboards need per key lasers).
I think something that could take the arms race to the next level, changable actuation force designs. Somehow integrate the spring or other part of the mechanism into the keycaps or a swappable… See More
module, that allows you to set differing pressure to actuate so you can have heavy keys and light keys based on preference on the individual key basis (every design has bias and compromise that build preference). I'm sure the pro level players and enthusiast market would eat something like this up, I know I would, I already have the 2 keycap sets for my G910 so that I can get differing feel to have keys stand out under my fingers and I find some key press weights could be lighter and some could provide more resistance to get a bit more control.
