After playing cooperative Arma III for six hours last night I wanted to pass on my thoughts.
1) Yes, I did buy it during the Steam sale.
2) I spent several hours after the first time I played researching how to adjust the video/processor settings to get it to play without stuttering.
3) The learning curve is steep (die/respawn/die - ad nauseam) but you start to get it after an hour or two.
4) The shortcut keys are a “must know” before playing.
5) There are not many servers with a lot of players… See More
on them. The ones that do are pretty active though.
6) Your helicopter may get shot down several times on the way to the AO (last night’s record was 7 times).
7) Driving there will take longer and usually has the same result.
8) Medics are your friends so you don’t have to grind through 6 & 7 again.
9) Running everywhere.
10) I’m sometimes too worried about “Friendly Fire” that I get killed in close combat. Need to learn to identify uniforms quicker.
11) More running.
12) Night missions rock as a sniper.
13) Running while crouching.
14) Enemy tanks suck when your AT squad mate dies.
So far I do like the game but it is not high paced like BF4, Black Ops, ect., so you have time to figure out your next move while waiting for your next ride to the AO.
