This reminds me of the "Bear - In memory of Taylor" mod in Skyrim in which a member of the mod community lost his brother, who also loved skyrim, so the community made a mod of a shrine where Taylor (the brother who passed on) had last saved and well over 9000 people downloaded it and took screenshots/videos to pay their respects at the shrine. It's an amazing story and I recommend visiting the page on Nexus for the full story.
"Last week, a Destiny clan named DoD Legion… See More
lost a member, Joshua R. Stokell, who passed away after a lifelong battle with cystic fibrosis. A fellow clan member who goes by the handle Ln_Wanderer on Reddit put out a call on the Destiny sub-Reddit, asking fellow Destiny players to send video clips the clan can put together as a kind of memorial montage."
Gamers are often ostracized as being belligerent hate-filled losers who spend their days sitting on a couch in a basement swearing at kids on COD, and while those poor people do exist, it's often easy to overlook the fact that for every negative-gamer there are so many many positive ones who make the gaming community an amazing one.
I hope the Destiny players who made this video (despite being console plebs jk) find their way to GTribe as they are exactly the kind of people I'd like to game with.
